The Ecolet 25a is a compact, automated continuous process unit that's simple to install and has capacity for up to three people full time*. It's ideal for small households or occasional use applications such as studios, workshops and weekenders. *The Ecolet 65a is a larger version of the same system and has capacity for four people full time. Completely odourless The unique aerobic bacterial process produces no odours and the ventilation system continually extracts odours from the room. True composting unit The Ecolet 25a is a true composting system which processes all the waste inside the unit so there are no containers to exchange or store. The unit incorporates an automated mixing mechanism which turns the pile inside the unit, and a thermostatically controlled 240V heating element. These optimize the composting process and the finished compost falls into a tray in the bottom of the unit and is emptied into the garden every month or two. Easy installation These units require no underfloor space and can be installed in an hour or two. Simply position the unit, install the vent, fill it with humus and plug it in - ready to go! Easy maintenance As you get to know your compost system, maintenance will become as simple as feeding it wood shavings regularly, checking the fluid level in the indicator on the side of the unit and occasionally emptying the compost tray.
