Introducing the award winning Alectura from Nature Loo. Designed in Australia specifically for the tiny home and off-grid living communities. The Alectura is a split system based on the same brilliant design principles of the original Swedish Clivus Multrum. Alectura boasts a larger volume, more efficient, sturdier build and better sealing than its predecessor, and optional extras for cold seasons! |

We named the new Nature Loo after the Australian bush turkey; a fascinating bird renowned for its remarkable composting abilities. These industrious birds gather organic materials like leaves, twigs, and other decomposing matter to construct large nesting mounds. The heat generated by these mounds provides the perfect environment for the turkey's eggs to incubate. As the organic materials decompose, they release essential nutrients into the soil, promoting its fertility and enabling the growth of lush vegetation. The bush turkey's composting behavior not only aids in waste decomposition but also contributes to the overall health of the ecosystem. Their natural composting process inspired innovative composting techniques, including the development of toilet systems that produce healthy nutrient-rich compost. |
