ideal for isolated and/or sensitive sites
High quality user friendly amenities that provide decades of trouble free service with minimal maintenance and no running costs. Our stand-alone amenities require no water, power or sewerage services, and are ideal for isolated and/or sensitive sites.
Low environmental impact systems, and with the addition of a 'Zero Discharge Unit' (ZDU) become a closed loop so nothing is discharged to the environment - perfect for sensitive sites near water. Commercial installations typically include the ultimate in wateress composting toilet systems; the original Swedish designed Clivus Multrum (CM). We work closely with clients to ensure the amenity suits the intended application and meets all expectations. Rugged, low maintenance amenities that are equally at home in an urban setting or at isolated sites. Stand alone, low impact, user-friendly - perfect. |
low impact waterless systems
Clivus Multrum (CM) are the original and best waterless compost toilet on the planet. Largely unchanged since the original 1939 Swedish design, they are beautifully simple, inherently reliable and require minimal maintenance.
Simplicity is the secret In crude terms, the CM is a big box full of wood shavings with a ventilation system – fool proof. The airflow supplies oxygen to natural aerobic bacteria which breaks the waste down to 5% of the original volume. This bacteria produces water vapour and carbon dioxide in a completely odourless process. The ventilation system takes all the gases/odours out of the room, so the cubicle is compleytely odourless. "VIROtech was brilliant to work with and even supported us when the transport company messed up. A great product and exceptional service!"

high quality buildings
Our Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) kit buildings are specifically designed to accommodate waterless compost toilet systems and come in a range of configurations incorporating standard and disabled access cubicles, urinals and storage areas.
|
FRP is widely used in the mining industry because it is fire resistant, requires less maintenance than conventional materials and is extremely durable. The buildings are cyclone rated to Category C3 (wind loading of 225km/h) and engineered to comply with all building codes and standards.

We consult closely with our clients to ensure the installation suits the intended application. Drawing on over 35 years experience, we provide reliable, experienced advice on all aspects of your project. Expected use patterns, model selection, building configuration, accessibility and siting are all important considerations in the planning process.
Our buildings come in various combinations of standard, ambulant and disabled compliant cubicles, and can include urinals, baby change rooms, showers and storage space if required. Most buildings include a verandah and stairs and/or a disabled compliant access ramp. Compost units are available with capacities of up to 40,000 uses per year (110/day) and some installations may require a combination of compost units to match the expected load and pedestal configuration. Where power is not available, a small solar system is installed to power the 12V x 5W ventilation fan/s and other items such as lighting. A rainwater tank can be installed to supply water to the handbasin if reticulated water is unavailable. Maintenance is simple and inexpensive, and with minimal moving parts these units are essentially fail proof. Free professional advice is always just a phone call away. |
