Mud Bricks:

The Great Wall of China was built using mudbricks in 210BC. Their strength and durability are unquestiionable. The aesthetic, acoustic and energy efficient properties of mud bricks make them a popular choice for modern homes.

We supply the highest quality mud bricks available, engineered to meet the most stringent guidelines in the industry. The CSIRO "Bulletin 5" test replicates 40 inches of rain every year for 50 years. To pass this test the brick surface erosion must be less than 1mm. These high quality mud bricks are complemented by regular mud brick building courses and all the accessories and know how you need to build with confidence.

The thermal properties of mud bricks are a major reason for their popularity as a building material. The thermal mass of a mud brick wall helps in storing heat in winter and soaking it up in the summer, levelling out the temperature gradient within the home. This ‘levelling out’ of the temperature means less reliance on heating and cooling.

A mud brick wall is essentially a solid earth wall. All the components – the bricks, the mortar and the render – are all the same material. So when the wall is erected it can be any shape you like. The picture of the tree featured in a wall above is just one example of the possibilities.
